Khushi Foundation: Empowering Futures Through Love and Service

Founded by Anand Mehrotra, the Khushi Foundation is a volunteer-driven charitable organization based in Rishikesh, dedicated to transforming the lives of underprivileged children and their families through compassionate, hands-on support.

At its heart, Khushi is more than a foundation — it’s a movement of empowerment. Through education, skill development, and access to essential healthcare, Khushi works to break the cycle of poverty and create lasting change from the ground up.

Key Initiatives Include:

Free schooling and learning support for children from marginalized communities Nutritional meals and daily essentials for students and families.

The Sattva Foundation

Rooted in Anand Mehrotra’s vision of conscious upliftment, The Sattva Foundation is dedicated to creating sustainable empowerment for local Himalayan communities. Based in Rishikesh, the Foundation provides English language education and essential workplace training to local youth and adults — helping bridge the gap between traditional livelihoods and modern employment opportunities.

Through vocational programs, skill-building workshops, and employment pathways within Sattva’s own ventures — including Sattva Retreat, Rasa Resorts, and the Sattva Organic Farm — the Foundation supports families by enabling dignified, meaningful work. Special focus is also given to women’s empowerment and community development.

Sattva Organic Farm

Anand Mehrotra established Sattva Organic Farm as a living expression of conscious ecology and sustainability. Nestled in the lush Himalayan foothills, the farm is dedicated to preserving traditional agricultural wisdom while promoting biodynamic and organic practices that heal the soil and nourish the community.

The farm collaborates closely with local villagers, training them in sustainable techniques and providing dignified employment rooted in care for the Earth. By reviving indigenous farming knowledge and integrating modern ecological innovations, Sattva Farm produces seasonal vegetables, herbs, and grains free from chemicals or GMOs.

Beyond cultivation, the farm serves as an educational space — offering immersive experiences in conscious farming, composting, seed saving, and permaculture. It supports Sattva Retreat and other local initiatives with fresh, high-vitality produce, and contributes to food security in the region.

Sattva Organic Farm is not just about growing food — it is about growing awareness, self-reliance, and reverence for the natural world.
